Wholesale with Sassy Black Yarns

Bold, hand-dyed yarn for shops that want color with personality.

Thanks for your interest in carrying Sassy Black Yarns in your shop!

I’m Lakisher, the dyer and owner behind SBY, a Black, woman, and veteran-owned indie yarn studio based in Manchester, Connecticut. I dye small-batch, ready-to-ship yarn for knitters and crocheters who love bold, saturated color and story-driven colorways.

If your customers get excited about hand-dyed yarn, unique colorway names, and supporting independent makers, we might be a great fit.

Is Sassy Black Yarns a Good Fit for Your Shop?

Sassy Black Yarns wholesale is designed for:

  • Local yarn stores (LYS) looking to add a bold, indie dyer to their shelves
  • Online yarn shops that feature hand-dyed and small-batch colorways
  • Curated boxes or clubs that highlight indie makers

My yarn tends to do especially well in shops where:

  • Customers love bright, saturated color
  • There’s a mix of knitters and crocheters
  • Staff enjoy telling the story behind the yarn and the dyer

Bases & Colorways Available for Wholesale

I keep wholesale focused on a core set of bases and repeatable colorways so you can reorder and build a consistent wall of SBY in your shop.

Common wholesale bases include:

  • Fingering / Sock – perfect for socks, shawls, and lightweight garments
  • DK – ideal for sweaters, accessories, and cozy projects
  • Worsted – great for quick knits and gift projects

Colorways:

  • A curated selection of repeatable colorways (including bestsellers like Blueberry Blue)
  • Seasonal or limited collections may be available depending on timing

One-of-a-kind and festival leftovers are usually reserved for my own shop and show inventory, but we can sometimes discuss special pulls for trunk shows or events.
